what to do when your lead magnets work too well

Christoph has a good problem.

His lead magnets are working so well that he's drowning in leads.

We're talking 1,000+ people commenting and DMing him.

But when you get that much volume, most of it is likely noise.

People who will never buy anything.

So I gave him my aggressive yes/no qualification system.

When someone messages you, you look at their profile and make a snap decision:

Is this person worth talking to?

If yes, you respond.

If no, you archive the message and move on.

No middle ground.

No "maybe" pile.

Most people try to keep everyone in play.

They think, "Well, maybe this person could be a client someday."

Wrong approach.

The best thing you can do is disqualify people and get them out of your pipeline.

It's counterintuitive, but focus on volume, not conversion percentage.

It's much easier to double the amount of leads you get than to double the percentage of leads who convert.

If you're getting 1,000 leads and 30% are your ICP, that's 300 qualified prospects.

If you spend all your time trying to get that 30% to 60%, you'll burn out and probably fail.

But if you double your lead volume to 2,000 while keeping the 30% rate, now you have 600 qualified prospects.

Same ICP percentage, double the opportunities.

Christoph's now having his team pre-qualify everyone before they get to him.

Smart move.

The goal isn't to talk to everyone.

The goal is to find the right people faster.
