Stop Losing Deals in Your DMs

Most people don’t realize how much money they’re leaving on the table by outsourcing their LinkedIn DMs.

I get it. You’re busy landing deals, running the business, and keeping everything moving.

The last thing you want is another inbox to manage.

But the reality is:

When someone responds to your DM, they're giving you a tiny window to prove you understand their world. Miss that chance, and poof - they're gone.

Samantha McKenna taught me something brilliant about this: "Show me that you know me."

Here’s what works:

  1. Match their message length. If they write two lines, don’t send a paragraph.

  2. Mention something specific from their profile or website.

  3. Offer value without pitching right away.

  4. Keep it short but meaningful.

I’ve seen time and time again how a thoughtful, personal response can turn a lead into a real opportunity.

And it’s not about being perfect; it’s about being human (which, lucky for you, you already are)

Next time you get a reply, put these tips into action. It might feel different at first, but it’ll pay off when you start seeing more meaningful conversations.

Cheers,

Tim
