how to sell your agency

Here is something I wish I understood when I ran my agency:

If you want to sell it, you need a funnel.

that is what your acquirer is buying.

if your funnel is “you getting referrals”

then guess what, you just bought yourself a job getting referrals for ANOTHER agency.

and you have no control over the quality of work that agency does.

so what do you do?

as soon as you are out of the day to day of client accounts, your job is building a funnel.

you need to build a machine that:

  • makes weekly lead magnets

  • creates daily LI content

  • sends cold emails

  • sends emails to your list

  • sends linkedin dms + connection requests

  • runs + manages Linkedin ads to your ideal client

If you have this system, you can sell it at a good multiple.
